Physically, the Cloud is made up of the massive datacenters which provide processing capacity,
together with all of the network connections in the world which provide the bandwidth to make it all work. Take a look at
this map from the UK Guardian which illustrates how all the submarine cables in the world are arranged. According to this diagram, the world's total cable capacity is a staggering 7.1tbps (terabits per second) - and growing. Compare that image with the images of the logical topology of the internet at
