» Is a Blog-Tag Virtual Game Too Non Corporate?

A blog-Tag game has been spreading like wildfire in the blogosphere in the last days in which bloggers are sharing five things about themselves that relatively few people know, and then tagging five other bloggers. From Steve Rubel being a neat freak, to Jeff Jarvis being one of San Francisco's most eligible bachelors, to Jeff Pulver having a walk on role on Law & Order, to Amanda Congdon moving her toes back and forth at alarming speed, to Dave Winer loving Stevie Wonder, to Mack Collier and his toy collection or David Armano working a rolling bar.

I usually don't participate in these games, but Peter Kim peaked my interest when he tagged me, but also wondered if it was too non-corporate for me to answer. A corporate blog is supposed to be an unfiltered, authentic, personal voice of an employee expressing his/her opinions, not the party line. Knowing the person behind the blog would seem as critical (if not more) as for any non-corporate blog. So, Peter, here it comes.

1- I am half French, half Indian. In fact, I should say I am half Parisian, half Bengali, considering the distinctive sub-cultures. If my last name sounds German, it is because it is German.

2- Once a computer geek, always a computer geek. My parents offered me my first computer in the 70s - it was a TI 99 4A with 24Ko memory. I programmed my own games in basic.

3- I am a serial enterpreneur - I started 4 consulting businesses, contributed to launch a fashion house in France and a talent management agency in Australia.

4- I am an avid trekker - I have trekked with my wife in the Annapurnas in Nepal, the Saharan desert, Namibia, Tasmania, Patagonia, Peru and other wonderful places

5- I will have in June 3 kids under the age of 3!!

Sorry guys, it's your turn to show everybody that corporate bloggers also have a human face: Lionel, David, Dan, Debbie and Laura (I had to add this one, Peter!)

Fantastic! I guess I have an answer - and an object lesson in blogging best practices.

Eric would you believe I not only had the TI-99 4A, but that I still have the same one I had as a kid sitting under my bed right now in its original box? And gotta love that TI-Basic programming, I learned to love the "If-Then" command ;)
