Blogroll Love – Connections to the Blogosphere

Published 12 March 2007, 11:24 AM

Blogrolls are a collection of links to other blogs, often found on the front page sidebar of many blogs (don’t even get me started as to why I don’t have one….). They represent for me what the blogosphere is truly about – a genuine sense of connectedness between bloggers that share common interests and points of views. In the blogging “values”, blogrolls represent one of the highest signs of respect and I am deeply appreciative of all bloggers that blogroll me. It also helps my Google ranking obviously!

I thought I would highlight in return some of my favorite blogrollers:

- The Trump Blog: I was flattered when Donald Trump added me to his blogroll recently (along with only 8 other bloggers such as Tom Peters, Seth Godin or David Pogue). This blogroll sends approx. 200 readers my way every month (pretty good for a blogroll), that would have most probably never discovered me. So thank you Mr. Trump!

- How to Change the World. Guy Kawasaki is one of the original Apple employees responsible for marketing of the Macintosh in 1984 and is a Silicon Valley venture capitalist. He has also become in a year a top 40 Technorati bloggers through excellent content on venture capitalism, start-ups and other musings. I am included in his “Blog scratching”.

- Logic + Emotion is one of my favorite blogs, run by my friend David Armano, Creative VP at Digitas. He has managed to find a unique voice through his visuals and his great combination of personal experiences and marketing thought leadership. Blogging at its best. I am included in his “buffet”.

- Being Peter Kim: Peter is an analyst at Forrester with great insights on the future of marketing. Just like David, he has found a unique voice through his passion for photography and flickr. Congrats for passing the 10 000 views milestone on flickr!

- Consumer Generated Media: Pete Blackshaw presently serves as CMO of Nielsen BuzzMetrics. His blog is one of the most thoughtful on CGM and the latest media trends. And check out Dos Bebes if you want to see how to use blogging for family matters! He was kind enough to include me in the people “who get CGM”

I would like to thank for this year of blogrolling Modern B2B Marketing, KDPaine, Customer Listening, Arun Rajagopal, Bad Marketing, 10Kmarshmallows (love the name!), CK, Bernaisesource, John Bradley Jackson, Edelman Dublin, Broken Bow and many others. Keep on rolling!
