Commitment is a word often used but seldom delivered on. A while back HP realised that midsize businesses have very different technology needs and priorities to small businesses or large enterprises, but that nobody seemed to be meeting those needs.
We know you need simple, affordable, reliable products and solutions, and that your technology imperatives include security, efficiency and business continuity. We also know that small-biz solutions don’t scale to your needs, while watered-down enterprise ones also fail to deliver on the promise.

Hello,
In my last blog, I talked about virtualization and a new storage array. I just learned about an interesting test and wanted to talk more about it today.
Virtualisation has been a hot topic lately fueled by the popularity of server virtualisation. Storage virtualisation isn’t a new topic either. | I just returned from a 2 day SMB planning meeting in the bay area with colleagues from all across HP discussing how to even better serve small and midsized customers in the future. During the meeting we spent a good amount of time on a great SMB initiative that we have in place across all business groups benefiting both small and midsized customers called HP Total Care. |

Hello and welcome to my blog,
I’m Urs Renggli and I am the director for Small & Midmarket in HP’s Technology Solutions Group, which offers servers, storage, software and services.
This space is dedicated to discussing topics and promoting ideas that can help midsize businesses to grow, reduce costs avoid risks. One of the first things I realized when I started working on SMB for HP some years ago was how your needs vary greatly from that of large or small businesses.
